Give

Help us achieve our conservation and education goals at Fort Ord Natural Reserve. Your support is essential to our mission: give today!

Your gift will directly support research, education, and stewardship activities on the UC Santa Cruz Fort Ord Natural Reserve. Projects for which we seek funding include facilities enhancements and replacements, technology improvements, environmental monitoring, resource inventories, and staff positions that provide technical support to the reserve.

Gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations are critical to supporting the mission of the UC Santa Cruz Fort Ord Natural Reserve and work in partnership with funding from the University. This public-private partnership plays a significant role not only in maintaining our unique and valuable resource but also in building the University of California’s reputation. Gifts in any amount are welcome for programs that benefit the reserve: in education, research, public outreach, and long term conservation of this special place.

UCSC Student learns about reptiles at Fort Ord Natural Reserve

Many alumni and friends have chosen to leave a legacy at UC Santa Cruz through their will, trust, or retirement account. Potential examples include:

  • An alumnus parent creating an endowment to serve the need of a UC Natural Reserve
  • An alumna providing for a scholarship in her major of Environmental Studies
  • A professor emerita supporting the study of plant ecology and evolution

Please consider including UC Santa Cruz Fort Ord Natural Reserve in your plans. Your gift can honor a beloved professor, a family member or your own experience, while providing for the future of UC Santa Cruz and its students.

For more information on how you can make an impact at UC Santa Cruz Natural Reserves while also providing for your loved ones, please call Tyler Hinz at (831) 502-7112 or email tyhinz@ucsc.edu.
